Gail Bartel

Gail Bartel is a self taught artist and consultant from Calgary, A.B. She is the author of the popular “that artist woman” blog and has a passion for creating art with kids. Although an accomplished watercolorist, Gail explores numerous mediums for her creative work with students. Her most popular work being batiks, assemblage, and unusual painting techniques. She has been the “artist in residence” at a local school for the past 9 years.
Gail and her work have been featured online and in print in such sources as Disney’s Family Fun magazine, The Baltimore Sun, Seattle’s Parent Map, Design Mom, CRAFT and Davis Publications to name a few.
