Writing & Visual Arts Ages 8 - 10 - This course is now full

We have all heard that “a picture is worth a thousand words” and for a young writer that’s a lot. Creative writing and the visual arts are strongly connected, inspiring and defining each other, so why not create both together.
In this workshop young students will create their “work of art” learning a variety of art techniques as well as composing a writing piece to be incorporated into the project. That picture won’t just be worth a “thousand words” but made up of some too.
The final result will be a mixed media canvas any young writer/artist will be proud to hang on their wall.

Course Format:

• Thursday, July 21 - 1 pm to 5 pm
• Friday July 22 - 9 am to 1 pm
• Saturday, July 23 - 9 am to 1 pm
