Creative Non - Fiction
This workshop is designed for writers with some experience of the genre and who are working on a long-form or book-length manuscript. It will include roundtable workshops of each participant’s current project, some lectures and group discussions around issues relating to the genre and the business of writing, and some in-class writing exercises as warm-up. Each participant will be able to meet with Myrna for a one-hour editorial session.
The week will be set up with three initial workshop days, Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday, a writing day on Thursday, and workshop days on Friday and Saturday.
Course Preparation:
Participants should submit, on or before June 17, an excerpt of their writing that they wish to work on during this session. These excerpts will be distributed to the instructor and to all participants and will be workshopped during the course. Submission details will be available in your registration package.
