Creating Character:
This workshop is for short story writers and novelists who have work in progress and are ready for feedback. Working with one piece from each participant we will investigate the creation and development of character: how to turn paper dolls into vivid human beings. By diving into the basic rigour of character work participants will find ways to deepen and extend their fiction.

Course Preparation:
Participants should submit, on or before June 17, a short story or an excerpt of a novel (20 pp) which they will work on during this session.
